Author's Note: So there was kind of a long wait between the prologue and this chapter, but I figured I'd hold off updating until after the holidays. Hope all of you, whether you celebrated or not, had a fabulous time! Summary: A templar, a crazy mage, a Witch of the Wilds, a war dog, a bard, a qunari warrior, a healer, an elven assassin, a golem, and a drunken dwarf throw themselves at a giant dragon on top of a prison tower; they had to win, they were the punchline. This thing has been cross-posted like you wouldn't believe. Sorry if it crowds your flist. ( Okay, time for one high stakes game of hide and seek. )

Author's Note: So... when I decided to finally write something for the Dragon Age fandom, it naturally had to be another playthrough interpretation, so... it's ambitious, I guess. I'd like to thank dasque, caseyvalhalla (no underscore), and SurelyForth for the beta jobs. They were delicious. Finally, this baby is getting some 'net time. Summary: Escapism at a bus stop to nowhere, roads leading everywhere but where you needed to be; sometimes finding yourself meant coming back to find the starting line. ( How’d you like to escape from it all for the low, low cost of broke? )
